It is the policy of Action Response Team that the workplace be free from illicit drugs, alcoholic beverages, and their use. In addition, the abuse or misuse of prescription drugs may adversely affect the employee's heath, safety and job function. Substance abuse may damage the cardio-respiratory system, immune system, cause malnutrition, seizures, loss of brain function, liver damage, and kidney damage. The abuse of drugs and alcohol has been proven to impair the coordination, reaction time, emotional stability, and judgment of the user. This could have tragic consequences while operating machinery, equipment or when demanding or stressful work situations call for quick and sound decisions to be made. Action Response Team cares about the health of its employees and shall provide the employee with substance abuse resources and materials upon request.
Action Response Team provides mandatory pre-employment controlled and un-controlled substance testing, post incident testing, testing for reasonable cause and random testing. When requested, Action Response Team employees shall follow all approved collecting, handling and testing procedures.
