Jeremy Mills

Jeremy grew up out in the country, in a small town of about 2,000, in central Maine. From a very early age, he has always had a love of the outdoors, whether it is camping, hiking, fishing, exploring, etc. And he has always enjoyed exploring caves and mines, so he is right at home when it comes to Confined Spaces and High Angles.

From his very first radio controlled car that he had at the age of 5, he has always liked taking things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together. So naturally it went from RC cars, to bicycles, to four wheelers and snowmobiles, to cars, and even onto some heavy equipment, often helping his father, a logger, to repair his skidder. Then, during High School, Jeremy took classes to learn more about automotive repair. Every other day for about four hours, he would learn both in the classroom, and in hands-on training on real cars owned by people in the community. After graduating he went on to work as a mechanic in a small shop, always receiving more training from the shop owner. Later he moved to a larger shop in New York, and continued to learn even more, progressing to the point of getting his ASE certification in six different categories. This training can really come in handy on the job when something needs repaired.

A little over a year later, he moved to the mountains of southern California and got married. At the same time he also received an offer to do fire, flood, and mold restoration, as well as construction for Action Response Team. He took the job, and after several years of hard work, he now serves as the manager of that division. But whenever possible, he enjoys working in the Confined Space, High Angle, and Fire Attack parts of the business. And due to his managerial skills, he now organizes and keeps up to date all of the safety and certification information for Action Response Team. Jeremy has currently progressed to work in the supervision of Confined Space crews as well.

In an interview with Jeremy, we asked him what he likes most about working with Action Response Team. His reply was, "The crew. We have an awesome bunch of people that work really good together. We are all friends, both on the job, and off it; and we really enjoy working with each other. Someone is always looking out for you. Plus I love the variety. Almost every job is different, and I love the challenge of how to set up for, and perform each job. And you never stop learning, each job has the potential to teach you something new, and I like that."
